Time Waits for No One is a surreal, slow-burning psychological thriller where one student’s quiet wait for class spirals into a haunting encounter with a mysterious, clock-faced figure. Told with a minimalist visual palette and mounting sonic tension, the film explores anxiety around deadlines, the consequences of neglect, and the crushing weight of personal responsibility.
The short was assistant directed and edited by Elaine, who also did revisions on the script alongside the original writer, Conall Reed. It stars Wesley Bell (dir. Benji's Turn) and Dean Harvey, who also helped produce the project as part of local production group Midnight Oil, who distributed the film. Elaine also made the film's poster and marketing material.
